Keith in Vancouver here to welcome the world of gay nudist groups to a blog where we can meet to discuss ideas and common issues.<br /><br /></span><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">In <span style="color:#cc0000;"><strong>Vancouver</strong> British Columbia Canada</span> we have a gay nudist organization called P-CAN (Pacific-Canadian Association of Nudists - </span><a href="http://www.p-can.org/"><span style="font-family:verdana;">http://www.p-can.org/</span></a><span style="font-family:verdana;">). I am currently the Secretary and publish our newsletter - <em><strong>Exposed</strong></em>. P-CAN has been around since 1988 and currently has a membership of over 200 men. Our primary activity is our monthly Naked Heaven dances that often draw upwards of 400 naked men. We also host house parties, naked bowling, naked camping and anything else our members want to organize, including an annual presence in Vancouver's Gay Pride Parade. </span><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">Over the years we've struggled with all the same issues as other non-profits:</span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family:verdana;">getting motivated and active members to join the board</span></li><li><span style="font-family:verdana;">participation levels at our events</span></li><li><span style="font-family:verdana;">getting members who do join the board to actually take on responsibilities</span></li><li><span style="font-family:verdana;">how much money do we invest in events and promotion and how much to we set aside for charitable donations</span></li><li><span style="font-family:verdana;">maintaining consistency and momentum from year to year</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-family:verdana;">Some years are better than others and one of the strategies we've adopted over the past year is detailed advanced planning. We try to organize and plan our Naked Heaven dances a year in advance with all the themes, promotional material, dates and locations organized well in advance. But location options are always a challenge. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:verdana;"><strong>I'll moderate this site, but it's here for all of us.</strong> If you are a member of a gay nudist organization, please tell us about your organization, what works and what challenges you face - who knows, the rest of us may have some ideas to help you out and we can certainly learn from each other.
